Innclusive Review | It’s Airbnb But Focused On Removing Discrimination

Innclusive Review

The first thing you see when heading to the Innclusive website are the words “Be Yourself.” These two words are at the heart of this new Airbnb type website that focuses on providing safe places to stay around the world. I absolutely love concepts like this but I wanted to see how well it worked in real life. Check out my Innclusive review and explore this new concept with me.

Innclusive Review

The Name is a Good Start

I am a sucker for puns so the Inn-clusive name already has me sold. They also have a beautiful website that has a very similar aesthetic to Airbnb which isn’t a bad thing. Their whole front page focuses on promoting their concept of acceptance and safe travel for everyone.

How it’s Different From Airbnb

Innclusive uses two basic techniques to ensure that all customers are treated fairly. The first method is by requiring all of their hosts accept that they are open minded and accepting of all types of people. The second method is having most of their BNB’s be instant accept. This type of booking means that the host can’t judge you first and decide whether they like the color of your skin.

Overall this seems like a great plan. As a potential host however, I do have some questions about where instant booking might go wrong. While I don’t think hosts should judge by physical appearance, I do think they should have a chance to read the reviews left by other hosts. If a traveler gets a lot of bad reviews for noise or mess, I do think that is a good reason to refuse them. But perhaps Innclusive takes bad ratings into account and limits poorly rated users from instant booking things. I’m sure I’ll find out as I delve further into the service.

Innclusive Community

This is one of the most exciting parts of Innclusive in my mind. I am always looking for a community of travelers that can point me in the direction of things I would like to see. Innclusive is doing more than just offering places to stay, they are creating a network of open minded travelers and hosts. That sounds like a group of people I would relate to.

My experience with Innclusive.com

When it comes to actually using the Innclusive service I found it very similar to Airbnb. I entered the location I was heading to (Los Angeles), the dates I needed and how many people were staying. I was given a listing and map (just like Airbnb). The one cool thing I found were the hosts seemed like really cool people. Some of the Airbnb’s I have stayed at in the past had hosts that seemed like it was just a business for them.

There are definitely a lot fewer places to stay compared to Airbnb, but it is still quite a few for such a new service. I was worried it would cost a lot more, but the prices are actually comparable to Airbnb.

I’m assuming you have used Airbnb before so I won’t bore you with the details of my entering credit card information and selecting the house. It all went smoothly and I found it was easy to locate a nice place to stay in Los Angeles.

Innclusive Review Summary

Rating 9.5

Innclusive is an exciting new way to book welcoming accommodation. I know I would feel a lot more comfortable choosing a home that the owner knowingly put in Innclusive. The pricing is comparable to Airbnb, and I am guessing a number of hosts are putting their homes on both sites. It is a newer service so there are a lot less places to stay, but I am hoping that will change over time.
