Ever since I visited Japan I have wondered why the US doesn't have more bidets. Almost every toilet in Japan comes with a bidet, I would not be exaggerating when I say they take their toilet time seriously. So when I returned to the US I began my hunt for the perfect bum cleaner. I had failed poorly until by chance I discovered the Tushy.
Tushy Review: The Bidet I was looking for
In reality, a bidet is relatively simple. Its a device you attach to your toilet that sprays your bum with water after your poo. Yet when I went on the hunt for a bidet, I immediately realized any butt cleaner was going to cost me AT LEAST $400. I wanted a bidet, but that was a pretty steep price. Installing the Tushy
As you can see in the video above, installing the Tushy was a breeze. It took me 10 minutes and I only needed a wrench and a screwdriver. The instructions are very simple and Tushy sends out their own video to help you install the Tushy. I'm sure some of you are still nervous, so why not hire a TaskRabbit? All About The Tushy
For obvious reasons I skipped the actual Tushy use on my video, but I can tell you it worked great! It didn't sing to me like the ones in Japan, but it did clean my butt extremely well. I didn't even notice the cold water, but my friends swear by the warm water version.
The Tushy itself is very straight forward and seems well made. It was easy to position on the toilet and I haven't had any issues with it so far. (knock on wood) The controls are simple, one knob as the tushy clean itself and the other sprays your bum. Like I said, it's very simple and you won't have any issues getting it working.
Tushy Bidet Critiques
I always like to bring a critical eye to everything I try. The Tushy has only one small critique that I could find. They have a radial dial for how hard the bidet sprays to clean you. The dial has a wide range of pressure, but in reality it goes full blast after about 10% of the knob turn. Once you know that, it's not that big of a deal. If you don't know that, then it will come as a bit of a surprise the first time you use the Tushy. My only other comment is that they included two big rubber washers that confused me during setup. I thought they needed to go into the hose but they were way to big. I had to read further that they were used for placement of the Tushy on the toilet.

Honestly, buying the Tushy is a no-brainer . If you are looking for normal day-to-day bidet, there is no real competitor out there. The Tushy is at least 4 times cheaper than the most inexpensive bidet on amazon. Installation is a breeze, and it fulfills the function of a bidet extremely well.
I wouldn't be surprised if Tushy was responsible for a new bidet movement in the US. You will actually pay for the Tushy with the amount of toilet paper you save.
