I love gifts that are just a little bit different. I tend to think it makes people remember the gift more if it is unique. To that end, I am always on the hunt for the latest gifting idea. So when I came across WoodSnap wooden prints, I knew I was onto something.
WoodSnap Review: Print Your Memories On Wood
I never knew how many things could be printed on wood until I visited the WoodSnap website. They can do almost anything as long as it is a flat surface. I decided to have one of my favorite pictures printed from my trip to Peru. It had a ton of bright colors and I was interested in seeing how well they transferred onto wood. It turns out I shouldn’t have been worried.
Print Quality
The WoodSnap wooden image I received was impressively vibrant. It wasn’t as colorful as a print on fancy photo paper, but I was still pleased with the result. It was also nice to have a print that I didn’t have to worry about damaging. The wood print is about 1/2″ thick so it felt pretty durable.
Get Any Shape You Want
I choose the default rectangle shape, but I might choose my next print in a hexagon shape. I love the concept that I can customize the artwork and the shape of the print itself. I gives me a lot of options that I wouldn’t get with paper.
Easy Hanging
The other great thing about printing on a wooden plank is hanging the artwork. WoodSnap very helpfully cuts nice grooves into the back of the print. As long as you can line up two screws on the wall, you can hang your WoodSnap print. If that is too hard, I recommend using a service like Takl to hang it for you.
The Most Unique Wedding Invites Ever
The prints are cool, but I think the most amazing product WoodSnap makes are their wedding invites. I have never received an invite on wood, but I would never forget one if I did. Brides are always looking for ways to make their wedding unique and this is definitely one of them.

I was impressed with the print I received from WoodSnap. The colors and quality were better than I expected for an image printed on wood. It isn’t as vibrant as photo paper, but I wasn’t expecting it to be. I am particualry excited about the WoodSnap wedding invites. I can already imagine how WOW’ed my guests would be after recieving those in the mail. Now all I need to do is find someone to marry.
