Oakland has long had a large marijuana-using population, and with legalization, dispensary lines are only going to get longer. Delivery is the alternative, and it's already established in the city.

Eaze has one of the largest delivery footprints in Oakland and, in our experience, the fastest delivery times of the services we've tried. It also lets customers get a medical marijuana recommendation online for $29. Orders typically arrive within about an hour, though most services still require cash payment on delivery rather than card, since marijuana remains federally illegal.

Beyond Eaze, the East Bay cannabis delivery market includes GreenRush — currently serving over 800 zip codes across California — along with Kushfly, PotValet, Meadow, and others. For customers who live farther out, True Farma ships medical marijuana by mail anywhere in California, making it useful for those far from a city center. Recreational customers should note that a medical marijuana card is still required to purchase until California's rules fully change in January 2018.

No Oakland service currently offers 24-hour delivery, though that's likely to change as demand grows among customers working odd hours. Until then, whichever service you choose, the process is broadly similar across providers.
