Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy (this “Policy“) describes how Likely Rain, the operator of topdownreviews.com (the “Site,” “we,” “us,” or “our“), collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with your use of the Site. By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please discontinue use of the Site.
1. Information We Collect
1.1. Information you provide. The Site does not offer user accounts and does not collect payment information. If you contact us through the Site’s contact form or by email, we collect the information you choose to provide (typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message).
1.2. Information collected automatically. Like substantially all websites, our servers and service providers automatically record certain technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and the dates and times of access. This information is collected through server logs and the analytics service described in Section 2.
1.3. Information we do not collect. We do not knowingly collect government identifiers, precise geolocation, biometric information, or payment card data, and we do not operate accounts, profiles, or user-generated-content facilities.
2. Cookies and Analytics
2.1. Google Analytics. The Site uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google“), to understand aggregate site usage. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect the technical information described in Section 1.2. The information generated is transmitted to and stored by Google. Google’s practices are governed by its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You may opt out of Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
2.2. Browser controls. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from reading the Site.
3. Affiliate Links and Third-Party Tracking
3.1. As described in our Disclaimer & Advertising Disclosure, the Site contains affiliate links (including links routed through paths beginning with /out/). When you click an affiliate link, you are redirected to the website of the applicable merchant or its affiliate network (for example, networks operated by ShareASale, Impact, or similar providers), which may set cookies or use similar technologies on their own domains to attribute your visit to the Site for commission purposes.
3.2. Such third-party websites and networks operate under their own privacy policies. We do not control, and are not responsible for, their collection or use of information. We receive only aggregate, non-identifying commission reporting from such networks; we do not receive your name, payment details, or purchase contents.
4. Embedded Content
Some pages embed video content from YouTube using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (“nocookie”) player. Embedded content behaves as if you visited the third-party website directly, and the third party may collect information about your interaction with the embedded content when you play it, subject to its own privacy policy.
5. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to: (a) operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site; (b) understand aggregate readership and content performance; (c) respond to inquiries you send us; and (d) comply with legal obligations. We do not use Site data for automated decision-making producing legal effects, and we do not engage in interest-based advertising on the Site.
6. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only: (a) to service providers who process it on our behalf (e.g., web hosting and analytics) under appropriate confidentiality obligations; (b) if required by law, subpoena, or governmental request; (c) to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Site, its users, or the public; or (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this Policy will continue to apply to previously collected information.
7. Data Retention
Contact correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and document the inquiry. Analytics data is retained in accordance with the retention settings of Google Analytics. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider in the ordinary course.
8. Your Rights
8.1. California residents. The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (the “CCPA”), grants California residents rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of “sales” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information within the meaning of the CCPA. To exercise any applicable right, contact us as described in Section 11; we will verify and respond to requests as required by law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8.2. EEA/UK visitors. Where the General Data Protection Regulation or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases for processing are our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site (Art. 6(1)(f)) and, where required for non-essential cookies, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Requests may be made as described in Section 11.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if we learn that we have done so, we will delete it. Portions of the Site concerning age-restricted products are intended solely for adults of legal age.
10. Security; International Transfers
We use commercially reasonable safeguards appropriate to the limited information we handle, including transport-layer encryption (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. The Site is operated from the United States; if you access it from elsewhere, you understand that information will be processed in the United States.
11. Contact; Changes to This Policy
Questions, requests, or complaints regarding this Policy may be directed to topdowncontact@gmail.com or submitted via the Contact page. We may revise this Policy from time to time; the “Effective Date” above reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be reflected on this page. Your continued use of the Site after any revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
