My Experience

Installation definitely had me nervous, but it wasn't so bad. The Empava cooktop is designed to be ever so slightly smaller than normal 36" tops, so you can place it into an existing spot (replacing an old one) without having to cut or mess up your countertop.

I absolutely love having the center burner not only stronger than the others, but also have more space around it. It's great for using larger pans and boils water so quickly I keep getting surprised.

The timers are also really neat—I really like making soft boiled eggs, and it took me a few experiments to figure out the exact timing of the perfect egg on the Empava Induction cooktop, but once I did, it's a no brainer. The timers mean you can turn on the cooktop for a certain number of minutes and literally walk away. So my egg boils itself for 3 minutes, and regardless of whether I'm gone 3 minutes or 10 minutes, the cooktop has already turned itself off at 3 minutes and the egg is still perfect. Woohoo!

It's been easy to clean and I guess that's due to the Vitro-glass on top. I haven't had it too long so we'll see how it holds up in that department.

Empava 36" Induction Cooktop Review

Overall I'm a big fan of this cooktop. I gave it a 9.8 because it's only been a month of using it, so I don't yet know how durable it is. I'll update it once I have a better idea!
