BrookLinen Sheets Review
Finally A Solution To Bad Sheets
Three washes in, the stiffness disappeared — and the sheets finally felt like mine.
Our reviewerA Little Patience Pays Off
A good night's rest depends on getting the sheets right — not so stiff you can't get comfortable, not so hot you feel like you're in a sauna. BrookLinen set out to solve exactly that, building its line around chemical-free, responsibly manufactured linens.
The company makes it easy to buy in: a standard set gets you a fitted sheet, flat sheet and two cases, while its bundles add a duvet cover and extra pillowcases, and the Move-In Bundle throws in pillows and a comforter. You can mix patterns, pick your weave and choose your pillow plushness, and the palette stays refreshingly neutral — smoke gray, sandy beige, white, navy and sky blue, in solids, polka dots or pinstripes.
We tested the Classic Core Sheet Set, made of 270-thread-count percale. The fitted sheet handled a 15-inch mattress without pulling up at the corners, which is more than we can say for a lot of sheets. Out of the package, though, the Classic sheets ran stiffer than we'd like.
Three washes later, that changed — the sheets softened up as promised, without shrinking or letting their dark window-print dye bleed into the white base. They still want an iron if you like a crisp look, but left unironed they still looked presentable.
For $99 and up, BrookLinen delivers a modern, well-thought-out set that's easy to recommend once you know to wash it in before judging the feel.

- Affordable
- Range of thread count options
Considerations
- Classic sheets take time to get the right softness
Our Hands-On Review
We started with the fitted sheet, since that's where most sheet sets fail — ours fit completely around a 15-inch mattress without pulling up, then we made the bed with the window-print flat sheet and solid smoke pillowcases, an envelope-style case with a flap that tucks the pillow out of sight for a cleaner look.
Straight out of the package, the Classic weave felt a little too stiff for our taste. We ran it through three wash cycles hoping the promised softening would kick in, and it did — the sheets came out noticeably softer, held their size, and the dark gray print didn't bleed into the white base.
Iron If You Want Crisp
Left unironed, the sheets still looked neat to us — but if you like hotel-crisp bedding, plan on breaking out the iron.
We Recommend This To Readers Who:
