Dryver Review
A driver-for-hire app that chauffeurs you in your own car, splitting the difference between a full car service and driving yourself.
Dryver offers the benefits of a chauffeur service, without the expensive costs of renting the car as well.
Our reviewA Driver, Not a Ride
Dryver's pitch is simple: unlike Uber or Lyft, you're hiring just the driver. They arrive at your location and drive you around in your own vehicle, offering a chauffeur experience without the added expense of renting a separate car.
The service, formerly known as BeMyDD, has since rebranded as Dryver and now covers more than 76 cities across 31 states — enough reach that most major metro areas have some form of access. It splits into three distinct tiers: a Personal Driver Service at $14–$19 an hour with no limit on stops or time, a Pickup Service at $25 plus mileage for a same-night ride home, and Event Services at $45–$53 per team per hour built for weddings and large parties.
Signing up is a short process — download the app, create an account, enter the date, time, location and vehicle details, choose a payment method, and reserve a driver. New users who enter the promo code get $20 off their first ride, effectively a free hour with the Personal Driver Service.
Why We Love It
- Drives your own car rather than charging for a separate rental
- Three service tiers cover everything from all-day personal driving to a single pickup to full event logistics
- Broad coverage: 76+ cities across 31+ states
- No limit on time or stops with the Personal Driver Service
Considerations
- Update (dead-destination-sweep-2026-07): our affiliate link for this specific offer is currently down (the tracking/redirect no longer resolves to the merchant), so treat the code/offer above as unconfirmed until it's restored -- we're leaving the page up rather than deleting it.
How Dryver Works
Booking runs through the Dryver app: download it, create an account (entering the promo code for the $20 credit), then choose between the Personal Driver or Pickup Service on the main screen. From there you enter the date, time, pickup location, vehicle information and payment method before reserving a driver.
The three tiers cover different use cases — an open-ended Personal Driver Service for full days out, a flat-fee-plus-mileage Pickup Service for getting home safely after drinking, and per-team Event Services built for weddings and large parties needing coordinated driving logistics.
Formerly BeMyDD
Dryver is the rebranded name of BeMyDD, an already-established driver service, now covering 76+ cities in 31 states.
