The Verdict

Skipping the Rental Counter Entirely

Skurt is a car rental app that delivers the car to you, aimed squarely at eliminating the classic rental-counter line — one overworked attendant, a long line of grumpy customers. It isn't just for travelers, either; regular customers and small businesses use it for daily needs, targeting anyone willing to pay a small delivery fee to skip the hassle.

The app itself impressed us: a clean, straightforward interface lets you pick a location and dates up top, then browse car makes and prices below. The booking page that follows lays out costs and trip details clearly — after dealing with rental agencies full of hidden costs, that transparency was a breath of fresh air.

We put it to a real test, booking a Toyota Corolla at $21/day. Add a $15 delivery fee and tax, and our total came to $43.19 — but our own LF15 promo code knocked $15 off for free first-time delivery, bringing the total down to $28.19. The car itself was clean and modern (Skurt also offers lux options like Mercedes), and when we were done, a Skurt employee simply came and retrieved it. The whole process ran smoothly.

On price, Skurt's $21/day already undercuts a comparable Hertz rental at $22/day. Factor in time, though, and the gap widens: driving to a Hertz counter, booking and returning took us about 85 minutes, which at a $30/hour valuation of our time adds roughly $45 in effective cost — making Skurt's delivery fee look like a bargain by comparison.

Pros

Why We Love It

  • No underage fees — anyone 21 or older can rent
  • No markup on gas — return the car and don't worry about a refill charge
  • Skurt delivers and picks up the car for you
  • Transparent, upfront pricing with no hidden costs
  • Often cheaper than Hertz, even before accounting for time saved
Cons

Considerations

  • Delivery adds a $15 fee on top of the daily rental rate, though the LF15 promo code offsets it for first-time renters
  • Whether the modestly higher total cost is worth the convenience is ultimately left up to the customer to decide
  • Update (dead-destination-sweep-2026-07): our affiliate link for this specific offer is currently down (the tracking/redirect no longer resolves to the merchant), so treat the code/offer above as unconfirmed until it's restored -- we're leaving the page up rather than deleting it.

Our Hands-On Review

The app's UI is clean and simple: choose your location and dates up top, browse makes and prices below, then move to a booking page that lays out costs plainly. We booked a Toyota Corolla at $21/day; with the $15 delivery fee and tax, our total was $43.19 before our own LF15 code cut it to $28.19.

The car arrived clean and modern, and when the rental ended, a Skurt employee came to retrieve it — no drop-off line, no hassle. Skurt clearly built the app around convenience, and it delivered exactly that.

Faster Than Waiting in Line

Driving to a Hertz counter, booking a car and heading back took us about 85 minutes. Valuing that time at $30/hour adds roughly $45 in effective cost — money Skurt's delivery model saves you.
